This Week @ RCB

– Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 –

This Sunday is Christ The King Sunday.

There is RCB Kids Church School.

Please visit the check-in table in the Narthex.

There is a nursery for children under the age of 3.

You can view the 10:30am service via livestream here.

Preaching: Matt Waterstone

Pastor Matt will be preaching is sermon titled “Jesus in Disguise,” based on the Scripture from the Book of Matthew, Chapter 25, Verses 31-46.

Jesus tells us that whatever do for the least of these, we do it for him!

Liturgist: Kibbie Laird

An Urgent Need to Help our Mission Partner

Emma Stackhouse runs the soup kitchen at the First Church of Mount Vernon and she is in the hospital, having suffered a stroke. RCB has offered to take over her Monday cooking and serving duties for the months of November/December.

For the cooking, we need trays of pasta, boxes of cookies and side dishes.

For the serving, we need people to show up between 3-5pm at the First Church of Mount Vernon to serve these meals to close to 100 people in need.

If you can bake, purchase or finance trays of pasta, salads/vegetables and cookies for 75-80 people on Monday evenings through Advent, or sign up to serve (a great family activity), your help will be much appreciated.

For more info or to sign up, CLICK HERE.

Happy Thanksgiving!

During RCB Kids church school last week, children created cards to accompany the 50+ Thanksgiving meals being distributed by congregants to people in need (click video, right to see their work).

HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST WEEK

RCB Cares

Last week, RCB Cares delivered its 30th floral arrangement since mid-October.

If you would like to donate flowers one Sunday in memory of a loved one, RCB Cares will break them down into 6 arrangements and deliver them to homebound members and those needing TLC. They’re beautiful! Sign up here to participate.

Caitlin Shines

Last Friday, Caitlin Dowling (Director of Music and Liturgy), took to the stage to be part of our organ dedication series. In her concert, she played a variety of music from different composers, demonstrating the range and the sound of the organ she was instrumental in rebuilding.

You can listen to it here.

Mark your calendar for our next organ performance on Friday, January 26th.
