Crossing Thresholds: Emergency Relief
Since March, 2020, Crossing Thresholds, our partner in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya has been providing essential meals to the families of its four schools in Kibera. The Kenyan government has closed all schools for the year and will require students to repeat a grade. Our youth have connected with the four students RCB sponsors throughout the year. Now, as if having to deal with no school, unemployment, and hunger was not enough, a fire on September 5th burned down 30 homes in Kibera, including those of the families our youth groups have sponsored. Crossing Thresholds is working to find them new homes to rent and to help them buy basic supplies. Please go here to donate www.crossingthresholds.org. Any small amount will help in this time of need.
