Music

We love music at The Reformed Church! All are invited to join one of our many vocal and handbell choirs, described below, which are organized according to age and skill level. We also host an annual concert series featuring accomplished musicians performing in a variety of styles.

Chancel Choir

Adults
Wednesdays, 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Adults of all ages are invited to join this dedicated group of volunteers and professional section leaders. In addition to providing music at the 10:30 AM Sunday worship services three times per month (early September through May), the Chancel Choir also presents concerts and sings in special services such as the Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols Service and Tenebrae during Holy Week. 

Carol Choir

Grades 1-3
Wednesdays, 3:45 PM to 4:15 PM

This beginning ensemble rehearses weekly and learns music by working with rhythm games and instruments—and learns to lead worship, too! The group sings twice each season, as well as for the annual Gift Services, Christmas Eve family service, Palm Sunday and other Sundays.

Chapel Choir

Grades 7-12
Wednesdays, 5:15 PM to 6:00 PM

This combined middle school/high school choir rehearses weekly and sings in worship once per month. Varied repertoire includes two-part and four-part music. This choir performs for the Annual White Gift Service, Choir Festival, and occasional Sunday morning services.

Cherub Choir

Grades Pre-K, 4- and 5-year-olds
Seasonally on Wednesdays, 3:15 PM to 3:35 PM

Rehearsing seasonally (Nov-Dec & Feb-Apr), this fun group learns musical skills and how to be in choir through games, songs, and instruments. The Cherub Choir will sing in worship once each season, including the Christmas Eve family service and on Palm Sunday.

Cathedral Choir

Grades 4-6
Wednesdays, 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM

The Cathedral Choir rehearses weekly and sings in worship twice each season. Singers will enrich their skills through rhythm games, instruments, and singing in parts. This choir sings for the annual Gift Service, the Choir Festival, and several Sundays during the year.

Handbell Choirs

A tradition at RCB for over 40 years, our handbell program offers instruction for ringers for several age groups. To register for any of our choirs, please click the button below.

Calvin Ringers

New 5th-6th graders
Sundays from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM

Rehearsing weekly, our youngest handbell choir learns how to ring together and performs at the Christmas and spring handbell concerts. Directed by Daniel Potter.

Whitechapel Ringers

Grade 6-8 
Sundays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Our middle school choir rehearses an hour each week and participates in the Christmas and spring handbell concerts, as well as worship from time to time! Directed by Daniel Potter.

Kirk Ringers

Grades 9-12
Sundays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Our high school choir rehearses an hour each week and participates in the Christmas and spring handbell concerts, as well as worship from time to time! Directed by Daniel Potter. 

Matin Ringers

Adults
Mondays from 1:00PM to 2:00PM

Adults of all ages are invited to join this volunteer adult bell choir! With fun and fellowship, the choir learns how to ring together, plays in worship once or twice a year, and most importantly has a great time of making music every week. No experience or knowledge of handbells required – just come ready to learn! Directed by Caitlin Dowling.
