Making Room for Encounters with God

What:   A One-Day Intergenerational Women’s Retreat

Where:  The Reformed Church of Bronxville

Cost:    $50 suggested donation (includes lunch & snacks)

This sacred journey for women of all ages is a pilgrimage for those who are thirsty for more of God!  It is for all who are dissatisfied with living on the surface and who are willing to explore practices that can help you travel deeper into God’s heart. NOTE: Vaccination is required.

Together we will:

  • Engage in group teachings and conversations on various spiritual practices
  • Offer personal time for reflection and silence
  • Receive takeaway tools and insights for how we might discover rest for our souls as we connect more deeply with God and others
  • Hear from Keynote Speaker, Rev. Cari Pattison, minister at Woodstock Reformed Church, and former associate pastor at RCB during one of our sessions

Participants are encouraged—but not required—to read Sensible Shoes: A Story about the Spiritual Journey, written by Sharon Garlough Brown.  It is a novel about four women as they are drawn into a spiritual formation journey at a retreat center.  The spiritual practices we will discuss during our retreat are woven into this wonderful story.
