Holding Life Together Friday Night, March 12th, 7pm Edwards Room One of the greatest challenges of contemporary society is coping with the centrifugal forces that pull life in various and conflicting directions. This is particularly dangerous in a society that assumes we construct our own lives. Only a house constructed by God can withstand the storms that try to tear it apart. The Stranger in Your Family Saturday Morning, March 13th, 9am Edwards Room Every healthy church family is comprised of at least three generations. Each of these generations has their own unique wiring, and thus their own fervently held biblical convictions about what it means to be a faithful Christian. But each seems so strange to the other. By understanding the “stranger” in our church family, we can move from conflict to a harmony of Christian spiritualities. Cost and Childcare This is such a wonderful opportunity; we want to make it available to everyone! However, donations will be gratefully accepted (suggested amount: $10 per session), to help off-set the costs of flying in our speaker, and providing accommodations. Also, if you need childcare for this event, please e-mail Alexis at alexis@reformedchurch.org. |
