Johnette Schuller Memorial Organ Recital and
Organ Console Dedication

In celebration of this church’s love for music, we will dedicate our brand new organ console with a recital by Minister of Music Matthew Phelps and our Assistant Director of Music Mark Peterson.  Along with organ favorites, Mr. Phelps will give the world premiere of a new piece for trumpet and organ by renowned composer Dan Locklair.


In Praise of Music

 In a year where we celebrate the role of music in our church, the Chancel Choir will sing Charles Gounod’s Mass in Honor of St. Cecelia.  This well-loved piece in honor of the patron saint of Music is filled with operatic melodies and lush harmonies. 


Messiah Sing-Along
Saturday, December 10
4:30 p.m.
In its third year, Matthew Phelps will lead any and all in a performance of the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah.  Even if you don’t sing in a choir, but would love to sing this work with an orchestra, or if you would like to just sit back and listen, join us one of the greatest pieces in Western Music.  Scores will be provided, and and wine and cheese will follow.


White Gift Service

One of The Reformed Church’s greatest traditions, this retelling of the Christmas story featuring our youth group and children’s choir program is a must see every year.


Handbell Concert

If you are not in the Christmas spirit yet,   our annual Christmas Handbell concert is      exactly what you need.  One of our most popular events every year, our Handbell Choir Program, which includes both youth and adults, will perform a great variety of Christmas music that is sure to leave you smiling with the joy of the season.


Service of Lessons and Carols

The pinnacle of our Christmas season, this service featuring our Chancel Choir, Kirksingers, Kirk Ringers, and a short meditation on the Christmas season by our Senior Minister, Dr. Kenneth Ruge, is one of the most glorious events of the year. Early arrival is encouraged for seating.


Paul Jacobs Organ Recital
Sunday, January 29, 3:00 p.m.
Funded thanks to the Barbara Yeager Memorial Fund for music, we are proud to welcome Grammy-winning organist Paul Jacobs in recital at the Reformed Church of Bronxville.  Mr. Jacobs is chairman of the Juilliard Organ department and is renowned for his masterful command of the organ.  This is an event you do not want to miss.      


Choir Festival
Sunday, March 4, 3:00 p.m.
Our annual Choir Festival is a wonderful event that involves over 150 musicians every year and is one of the oldest events of its kind in the New York Metropolitan Area.  This year we welcome back our music director emeritus Rodney Schuller who will conduct the Chancel Choir in the music of C. Hubert Parry.   Join the music department in this wonderful event.


Easter Joy

Our Chancel Choir, resident Brass Quartet and Timpani, and Senior Minister Dr.  Kenneth Ruge will lead us in a celebration of the Resurrection, the pinnacle of our faith.  Join us for these wonderful services of word and music which include Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus and Widor’s famous Toccata from the 5th Symphony.
