Volunteer Leadership Opportunities

Adult Education Committee: Helps plan opportunities for adult spiritual growth, including Sunday morning classes, weekday events and retreats.

Children’s Ministry Committee:  Assists with Sunday morning program, as well as plans events for enrichment of children and their families.

Nursery Staff and Support Team:  Provides care on Sunday mornings and maintains a nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.

Church School Teachers and Substitute Teachers: Teach children on Sunday mornings, using the provided curriculum, as well as personal imagination and faith.

Church School Helpers: Youth who assist the teaching staff when needed on Sunday mornings.

Confirmation Mentors:  These are paired with members of the Confirmation Class to be advisors, counselors and friends.

Library Committee:  Maintains and purchases new books for congregational use.  The Lowell R. Ditzen Memorial Library is located on the third floor of the Educational Building.  It is staffed by volunteers who provide seasonal and thematic book displays and maintain an excellent collection of religious and related works.  The Children’s Library is also located on the same floor and provides a colorful, relaxing setting for children and families to enjoy.

Summer Story Hour Volunteers:  Prepare lessons and activities for younger children (ages three through eight) during summer worship services.
