Church School meets most Sunday mornings at 10:30 am from the Sunday after Labor Day until mid-June.
The children in grades one through eight go to church and are dismissed to their classes after the Chancel Talk. Children in kindergarten or younger go directly to their classrooms.
The Church School’s goal is for children to experience God, while also learning about God. We offer a Christ-centered, Bible-based curriculum, that focuses on the overall story of Scripture from the Reformed Christian tradition, and emphasizes the major themes of the Bible and salvation in Christ.
Each year a theme is chosen for the Church School. This year the theme is from John, "Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, so I send you."
New children and visitors are welcome any time throughout the year. Accommodations are made for special-needs children.
Before worship service, come to the education wing of the building (which is the north side), and the first office on your left (once you enter the hall of all the staff offices) is Alexis Mastromarino, Church School Director. She (or one of the two Church School Coordinators) can assist you in finding the age-appropriate classroom. You can also contact her in advance, at 914-337-6776, ext. 118, or e-mail alexis@reformedchurch.org. |
