Be Careful Not to Forget the Lord!

So this fall of 2009 has been my first as Youth Director here at the Reformed Church. It's been a very busy one too! We've been trying to get a lot of programs running again after a hiatus last year. The Senior High Group for high schoolers is meeting on Sundays at 5pm and Thursdays at 7pm too. Most of the time we just talk and hang out and have fun. It's important to be together and build up our relationships. We also want to build up our relationship with the Lord too so there's always a moment of reflection on what Christ has done for us. Deut. 6:11 tells us "Be careful not to forget the Lord..." -- reminding the Israelites about all the Lord had done for them in rescuing them out of Egypt. Anyway, I know high school life is busy. All life is busy. But our relationship with God is of utmost importance. Be careful not to forget Him! The fact is, we need Him. Jesus said about Himself that He was the bread of life.
