Early Worship Service

This intimate time of worship meets in the chancel area of the church, with weekly communion by intinction (participants walk to the front and dip a wafer in the cup). The traditional Reformed liturgy begins with a call to worship; a corporate prayer of confession; an assurance of pardon and singing of the Gloria Patri; a prayer of illumination and scripture reading; and a sermon followed by communion. There is no choir at this service, though the congregation is accompanied by organ. While some choose to dress semi-formally, others prefer casual dress. Children are welcome at all services, but most families prefer the 10:30 a.m. worship.
